Mowing Tips

Mowing Tips
1. The first few cuts of the year should only remove the tips of the grass, but as the season progresses you can gradually lower the cutting height.
2. Make sure that when you mow you donít set the blade too low Ė itís always better to cut it too high than too low. This leads to thin and dying out grass and shallow root systems. The length you should mow your grass will depend on the type of grass in your lawn. Identify what kind of grass you have so you know the proper length to mow it.
3. During very dry weather, raise the height of the blade so that only the tips of the grass are clipped. Allow these clippings to remain on the lawn to help reduce evaporation.
